Wildcoast Adventures lets guests step inside Orca Camp before they book.

Wildcoast Adventures

Wildcoast Adventures runs Orca Camp on Johnstone Strait, and in August 2026 our team captured the camp from the air and on the ground. We also built a 360° tour of twelve panoramas, so guests can walk through the camp before they book.

What they needed

Wildcoast Adventures runs seasonal sea-kayaking trips from Orca Camp on Johnstone Strait, and guests can reach the camp only by boat. The Wei Wai Kum First Nation has held a majority stake in the company since February 2026, and the Campbell River Mirror reported the sale on February 17.

Guests book several days at the camp without seeing it first. They sleep in beds inside canvas-walled cabins, and a wood-fired sauna and hot tub sit at the tideline. The company’s old photographs left all of that out. Wildcoast asked us for a 360° tour for its website and a library of photographs and video for its marketing.

What we did

We planned the capture around the two questions guests ask: what they’ll sleep in, and what the days are like. Drone footage places the camp in old-growth forest with the strait opening out beyond it. On the ground we captured the cabins, the sauna, the meals and the guiding, from the beach briefing to paddling out at golden hour, and we cut a short film that follows a day at camp.

Twelve panoramas make up the 360° tour, and four of them look down from the air. From the opening view across the strait, a guest anywhere in the world can walk into a cabin or stand on the beach.

“We couldn’t be happier with the results! They completely overdelivered. ... The 360° tour is an amazing addition to our website, and we now have an incredible library of high-quality content for our marketing.”

What changed

Wildcoast put the capture on its booking pages and trip listings in 2026, and the 360° tour sits on its website. When a guest is weighing the trip, Wildcoast’s team sends the tour straight to them so they can see where they’ll sleep. The company’s social channels draw on the same library of photographs and video.
